Portland Saturday Market
I was finally able to take a photography class at PCC to learn how to use my new camera. As part of the class we took a field trip to the PSU winter Saturday market. At first I couldn't figure out what to point my camera at--Portland buildings? People? Trees? And I was self-conscious, fumbling around as I was with my camera. We were told to take 100 pictures in two hours. It was raining off and on. So I finally walked up to some radishes, all pretty and colorful, and starting hitting the shutter. It was the most freeing experience. The magic of digital--I could take as many images of radishes and onions and lettuce as I wanted, and only keep the ones I liked.
