Pamplona

May 13.  This Basque town is famous for its tradition of the running of the bulls.

Running of the Bulls

This is the corner where the bulls turn .  Six bulls are let loose in the streets of Pamplona.  The path is clear, but here especially the bulls get confused because they are running around the corner and slip on the cobblestones.  They get turned around and head back the way they came, to the consternation of the spectators who have, by then, already come down into the streets to celebrate.

Spontaneous Spain

The Spanish like to get together to have lunch (Late!) in the square.  They see someone they know, and just join them at the table.  Someone at another table pulls out an accordion, and there's good food, good friends, lots of sound.

These folks just decided they'd put on an opera and the square filled with the community.
