Mom cooked the best food!  Just plain food.

Bean Salad


1 can wax beans
1 can green beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can garbanzo beans

1 cup diced red onion
1 cup diced celery
1 1/2 cup vinegar
2/3 cup olive oil
1 cup sugar
1 tsp minced garlic
​Salt and pepper to taste

  • Pour beans in a colander to rinse and drain.
  • Add onion and celery to beans in a mixing bowl.
  • Combine vinegar, oil, sugar, and garlic.  When  sugar has dissolved,  add to the bean mixture.
  • Allow to sit and marinate before serving, a couple of hours is best.
